ADAA Awards

CathyThis year at the National Grand Prix, ADAA recognised the contribution of members and supporters.

It was an absolute pleasure to bestow Life Membership to Wendy Blakeston.  Wendy joined ADAA in 1995, and was one of the first handful of ADAA members, making a significant contribution in forming the original ethos of ADAA, that we still see today in our Association.  Wendy was appointed as an ADAA Judge in 1998 and judged on the field for many years and, in the last ten years, has provided or approved course designs for Level One and Level Two Judges respectively and has provided invaluable support to upcoming Judges.  Wendy was an ADAA Board member for six years from 1998 until 2004.  In particular Wendy has continuously volunteered her time supporting ADAA in many aspects of ADAA’s development and growth, including being part of the original contingent of members who travelled to NSW when ADAA had its inaugural competitions in that state.  Wendy continues to volunteer her time processing the title applications received by ADAA from our members.  In addition to the many hours Wendy has spent directly supporting ADAA she was also a founding member of the Agility Dog Club of Queensland Inc (ADAA’s inaugural affiliated club) and has been both an instructor and committee member of ADCQ for significant periods of time.  Life Membership is awarded for exceptional service and commitment to ADAA.
