Agility Regulations – 10th Edition

The ADAA Board of Directors has been diligently working towards updating our Agility Regulations.  I am pleased to advise that the 10th Edition of the Agility Regulations will be released to members on or before 19 February 2017.  The new Regulations will be effective 1 May 2017, and a few of the key changes are:

  • New Individual Game Steeplechase and associated Titles ( Steeplechase Dog and Regular Steeplechase Dog)
  • Advanced Agility and Jumping Test may now have up to 22 obstacles
  • Knocking over the Long Jump corner poles is no longer a fault
  • Normal refusal and Elimination rules to apply to Juniors
  • New Platinum Plus Handler Awards
  • Brush hurdle removed from list of obstacles
  • Hurdles heights amended to:
    • International Programme
      • Maxi 600 mm
      • Midi 500 mm
      • Mini 400 mm
      • Toy 250 mm
    • Regular Programme
      • Maxi 500 mm
      • Midi 400 mm
      • Mini 250 mm
      • Toy 150 mm
  • Hurdle uprights may now be 1000 mm to 1200 mm and Hurdle bars 1200 mm to 1500 mm
  • A-frame heights amended to:
    • International Programme
      • Maxi 1700 mm
      • Midi 1700 mm
      • Mini 1700 mm
      • Toy 1700 mm
    • Regular Programme
      • Maxi 1700 mm
      • Midi 1700 mm
      • Mini 1600 mm
      • Toy 1600 mm
